Changes to SQL Server TechCenter
You might have observed or not there is a change in the MSDN documentation User Interface (UI) and the way it is connected with regard to the feedback from the user.
Well SQL Server TechCenter has been given a new look with an UI face-off in addition to the cosmetic changes within the MSDN Library and TechNet Library pages. Documentation Development team confirms that:
You told us you want it to be easier to switch between product-focused resources and simpler to find information through site navigation and search. We've responded with improvements.
These changes have been made to enable the usability and new features for the customers that have been requesting. I'm surprise to see that the SQL Server TechCenter was in the first rollout of 5 TechCenters launched in the new format. Similarly the other related techcenters such as Data Access, and XML DevCenters will also be included to keep them much more consistent than they have been in the past.
Another development with this launch is associated TechCenter pages now link customers to the TechNet copy of Books Online. The links in the TechNet copy of Books Online keep the TechNet format, while links within the MSDN copy retains the MSDN format. That means that customers following BOL links from the SQL Server TechCenter will stay in a TechNet framework instead of being flipped to an MSDN framework.
Fyi, here are further details about this SQL Server TechCenter and BOL related libraries:
