Windows Defender fading away with OneCare installation

I have been using Windows Defender tool since last 1 year on my home PC & laptop that has given lot of help and protection against spyware and other unwanted software. It's built into Windows Vista and you can download it for free if you use Windows XP. There is no doubt this protects the PC with realtime facility, but with the recent release of OneCare I have found it has been disabling the Windows Defender that doesn't cause any issues. But OneCare has a major drawback of slowing the boot process for atleast 5 minutes, that happened to me many times.

So I have decided to Uninstall the OneCare and choose a third party Virus scanner by re-deploying the Windows Defender, phew what a mess.
