Hello from Denver, Colorado - SQLPASS : COMPLETED

19th September 2007:
After a 18 hour journey from my place to Denver I was able to settle down by last night and jetlag adds more weight to the tiredness.

I'm back in Colorado Convention Center @ 07:00 hours to register at the SQLPASS 2007 summit and I can see a little bit downtrend in the number of attendees as compared to the previous 2006 summitt in Seattle. But this time the event bag really sucks, where you cannot fit anything inside it, last year's one was useful and big.

Kevin Kline, PASS President & Keynote session by Ted Kemmert highlighted the existence of PASS since its inception and importance of SQL community by PASS volunteers, MVPs and members.

As registered here to volunteer at MVP & SQL Lounge I will be there in helping the users to solve their issues or direct them to relevant SQL Development Team aka Customer Advisory Team (CAT) at the lounge.

More later...

23rd September 2007

So the SQLPASS 2007 event has finished (for me) with a bashful 'bowling' @ Fast Lanes on Thursday evening (thanks to Ed Lehman, MVP Manager) and wrap up event on Friday with a "PIONEER INTERVIEW" with Ken Henderson by Kevin Kline, PASS President. This pioneer session is a good one that PASS introduced to get a insight of a Pro in SQL community, as usual the event organisers under estimated the turnout for this session on Friday @ 14:30 hours and later they have to take out the false partitions to accomodate more people at that time, which has delayed the session for 15 minutes. Intially everyone out there thought this will be a highly technical filled session, but it was more on personal side of Ken to know about.

Then while return to home place from Denver I had 9 hours break in Newark airport and to best-utilize the time I was able to complete New York downtrown trip to see the city 'that never sleeps'!
