Most Valueable 'technical' week so far this year, for me - MVP Global summit 2008
In continuation with MVP global summit related posts here I can say since 12th April 2008 it has been a very useful week in terms of Technical knowledge update & networking.
As you may know this is a MVP exclusive event that is not one of public wide conference, that gives a four day (in-depth) conference that is hosted at the Washington Trade and Convention Center in Seattle and at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond too. Not to mention about interaction with Product Development group for each of the MVP that they are expertised and also giving an exclusive access to more than 400 sessions and panel discussions and a range of networking opportunities. To cover up this MVP-AttendingGeography related post here and I think near 2.500 MVP have attended this summit, most of them made new networking links & more good to see 'in-person' techie geek that are sharing the valueable knowledge in all kinds of IT technologies.
During Wednesday, specially for SQL Server related MVPs it was a great time in meeting SQL Server Relational Engine development team members, that are important in enhancing/developing Language Processing, Metadata, Utilities, Storage Engine, SQL OS layers within SQL Server, no doubt that the room was full-packed with a flood of many questions from MVPs related to Query Processing - joins, cache, performance - indexing & caching, procedure cache, memory and many more that will make a better place for SQL Server (existing and upcoming versions), also its a positive acknowledgement/explanation from the team (thanks to them) and you may recognise few from the snaps from this Web Album.
Not only this as a curtain closer we had energetic presence from Microsoft top executives such as Steve Ballmer, CEO and Ray Ozzie, CSO (Software Architect), as it was Bill Gates here last year. I will addup the photos & videos in due course.

Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves or we know where we can find information on it. It is also a power and you will gain by sharing it.
