Unable to modify DTS package in SQL Server Management Studio
One of the developer in our team gave me a call to seek help on the issue they are facing, they are unable to modify or open the DTS package in SQL Server Management Studio. The Server they are working is SQL 2000 version and due to the mixture of 2005 & 2000 versions they prefer to use SSMS.
Well, first and foremost thing to check is whether you have downloaded and applied the special web download of "SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Components". TO download the referred components look at this KBA here.
Once they are applied then you will be able to modify or open the SQL 2000 DTS packages in SSMS.
