Is Katmai going to be named as SQL Server 2008? Yes it is!
Well so far the tradition from the Microsoft is to keep up the codename's exciting and name RTM with real-sense like Windows 2000 or SQL Server 2000 so and so forth.
June 04th 2007 is going to be big as they are big surprises on way in Tech-ed2007 conference as it is one of biggest conference that every IT user in the world wanted to be a part of.

Tech Ed 2007 conference in Orlando, that the database, formerly code-named Katmai, is due for release next year and that beta 2 of Visual Studio 2008, formerly code-named Orcas, is expected to be released this summer.
